Glutathione, also written L-glutathione, reduced glutathione, or GSH, is a naturally occurring tripeptide (glutamate, cysteine, and glycine) studied for redox balance, oxidative-stress, detoxification, and antioxidant-capacity research. It is the body's principal intracellular antioxidant and one of the most studied molecules in cellular-redox research. The high-capacity 600mg vial is the standard format for this category. In preclinical and in-vitro research, glutathione is investigated for its role in the redox reactions that neutralise reactive oxygen species and for the detoxification and cellular-protection pathways associated with it. Its thiol (sulphur-containing) cysteine residue is the reactive centre most of the literature focuses on, which is what makes it a reference antioxidant for oxidative-stress models.Researchers studying cellular-protection and longevity pathways often look at glutathione alongside other members of the energy-and-longevity range, such as NAD+ and SS-31; our library covers the cellular-energy pathways these compounds are studied for. The 600mg vial provides ample material for extended antioxidant-capacity research.Every 600mg vial ships lyophilised with an independently verified batch certificate at a guaranteed floor of ≥98% purity, verifiable on the batch verification page using the batch number on the label. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water: add it slowly down the inside wall of the vial, swirl gently, and never shake, the solution is light-sensitive so keep it shielded. Store the unopened vial at 2 to 8°C; refrigerate once reconstituted and do not refreeze.
