KPV, also written the KPV tripeptide or KPV peptide, is the C-terminal tripeptide (lysine, proline, valine) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH), studied for inflammation-pathway, epithelial, gut, and immune-response research. It is the melanocortin-fragment member of the recovery family and is studied for how the short alpha-MSH tail engages inflammation-signalling pathways without the pigmentation activity of the full hormone.
